Fiber Optic
ANKA ENERGY GmbH & ANKA YATAY SONDAJ LTD.ŞTİ.
ANKA is one of the oldest and most established companies in its sector. It has demonstrated its privilege in the sector for many years and has successfully realized projects that were considered impossible. It is possible to see the projects carried out by ANKA all over Turkey.
It carries out directional horizontal drilling, open excavation method, trenching and pipe installation works professionally and with more than 20 years of experience.
Our references are the work we do. As ANKA, we participated in the KKTC-TURKEY Water Supply project and also carried out horizontal transition operations for fiber optic cable.
We carried out natural gas pipes and communication lines within TÜPRAŞ.
We participated in Türk Telekom and TÜRK-SAT fiber optic infrastructure projects.
Extra fiber optic cable installation operations through BOTAŞ pipe system.
ANKA has its signature on more than 600 projects like these. When it comes to doing things that are always considered impossible, ANKA comes to mind in the infrastructure sector.
Our vision; To carry the ANKA name to the top both at home and abroad. We will consider our work as our reference and work accordingly. ANKA was the pioneer of many methods used in the infrastructure sector.
The open excavation method, which is used as the traditional method in fiber optic cable installation, is a secondary business method for ANKA, considering the increasing costs and damage it causes to the environment. Our priority is to use the YYS system underground by reducing labor and costs without damaging elements such as roads, asphalt and pavement and by preventing environmental noise. It is to install fiber optic cable with YYS.

How to Lay Fiber Optic Cable?
We have developed a very advanced method to achieve a stable balance between fiber optic infrastructure cable laying speed, quality, durability and scalability.
The method we have developed is provided by our Lissmac diamond saw grooving machine, which is the micro grooving version. Traditional microgrooving is a great technology that provides many benefits in terms of speed and capacity, but those using this technology still have many drawbacks. It causes a lot of disruption to the processed path and is difficult to restore.
We have transformed it into a system that has the same benefits and more, without the known disadvantages of traditional microchannel opening. Instead of hammer tips or carbide-tipped trenchers that open wide channels, we use diamond blades to open channels in concrete. The cable laying method allows laying a large number of channel cables (24 pieces of 7 mm channels) on the channel base with a progress speed of 1-1.5 meters within 1 minute.
The methods and machines were developed as a result of our experience and cooperation with our R&D department.
The method consists of:
- Traditional cable/infrastructure survey
- Cable and infrastructure depth investigation with radar
- Channel opening and channel installation with diamond
- Application of filler for canal closure
- Permanent restoration of the road surface
Traditional Scraping | Mini-trenching | Micro Trenching | |
---|---|---|---|
Channel Width | 300-600 mm | 40-160 mm | 28-32 mm |
Channel Depth | 400 mm ≤ | ≤ 1200 mm | ≤ 380 mm |
Filling | Traditional | Liquid Mortar | Nextec Filling |
Compression | Yes | Yes | No |
Width when restored | 900 mm ≤ | 450 mm ≤ | 35 mm ≤ |
Channel opening speed (in 8 hour period) | 55-70 m | 200-400 m | 200-600 m |
Temporary Traffic Closure | Yes | Yes | No |
Daily operation including filling | 2 days completion time | 150 m | 300 m |
Compared to traditional excavation methods, diamond grooving is extremely fast. The machine cuts up to a depth of 380 mm and a width of 28 mm.
The deployment methodology and channel size allow traffic to run smoothly and without interruption on open channels. This results in fully functional traffic conditions while production continues.
The method allows the crew to fill all excavated trenches during work shifts.
